Upload a property licence

Add issued licence details to keep a property compliant

Purpose

This article explains how to upload a property licence in Kamma Suite, whether or not a licence application was previously logged.

What you'll learn

In this article, you'll learn how to:

  • Upload a licence when no application was logged

  • Report the outcome of a previously logged licence application

  • Add an additional licence when one already exists

  • Understand how uploading a licence affects compliance

Option 1: Upload a licence without a logged application

Step 1: Open the Licence Management section

  • Go to the relevant Property page

  • Scroll down to the Licence Management section

Step 2: Upload the licence

  • Click Upload a Licence

  • Enter the licence details into the form

  • Upload the licence document (optional)

  • Click Upload Licence

The licence is now recorded against the property.

Option 2: Report a decision on a logged application

Step 1: Open the Licence Management section

  • Go to the relevant Property page

  • Scroll down to the Licence Management section

Step 2: Report the decision

  • Click Report Decision

  • Ensure the Licence Type is correct

  • Select whether the licence was Granted or Rejected

If the licence was Granted:

  • Complete the additional fields that appear

  • Click Report Decision

If the licence was Rejected:

  • Click Report Decision to confirm

Option 3: Add an additional licence when one already exists

A property may require more than one licence — for example, a Mandatory HMO licence alongside a Selective licence, or a renewed licence while an existing one is still active.

Steps

  • Go to the relevant Property page and scroll to Licence Management

  • Click the Add another licence link beneath the table

  • Complete the licence details as above

  • Click Upload Licence

The new licence appears as an additional row. Each row can be edited or deleted individually when more than one record exists. Expired licences are automatically moved to the Historical Licences section at the bottom of the table.

How this affects compliance

  • If the licence is granted, the property is marked as Compliant

  • If the licence application is rejected, the property is marked as Non-compliant

A property with a rejected licence application will remain non-compliant until:

  • A new licence application is logged, or

  • A granted licence is uploaded
